CURLING — Radio King / Mallow (Stereo)
The new Curling single Radio King / Mallow (Stereo) is out now (September 2024).
These are new stereo versions of songs from Curling's 2018 mono album Definitely Band.
The band is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This single is being released to coincide with an upcoming tour of Japan (in October, see below) and to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Definitely Band.
Plus a US gig: September 22nd 2024 - Make Out Room, San Francisco
Royal Oakie Records' David Glasebrook says: "Radio King is named after the snare drum Curling used to record the song. It's legendary - the first widely produced snare drum to feature a solid maple shell steam-bent from a single piece of wood."
"To celebrate the 6-year anniversary of Definitely Band, we've revisited the original tracks to reimagine two of our favorite songs in stereo from the ground up. These aren't just the original mono mixes with some instruments panned to the side; these new stereo mixes are complete re-imaginings of the songs," say Curling's Brandel and Gelman.
